    Probably, but you omitted mentioning they had a second round of qualifing (on usually Sat). If you don't have the car, it doesn't matter, but if you just need a little time to sort out a good car, then drivers like Joe Nemecheck might still have qualified.

    that would have been 1999 or earlier, but i see your point...that system was top 25 on time on friday...26-36 set by second day qually on Sat,
