    Smile Happy festive Season Everyone!

From tomorrow I am going on a well earned 3 week holiday

Before I go I would like to wish everyone on this forum a great festive season fulled with the joy (an frustrations!) that only families and friends can provide

Be safe out there and see ya all in 2012...let's hope the Mayans are wrong!

    Cheers,

    Brad

Where you going? Somewhere exotic? Hope you have a MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Alas, I'm working up to Dec. 23d, then I'm off for two weeks after which I start a new job

no its only called christmas, not even in all Christian countries. For example in Sweden its called Jul (Yule), in Germany the call it Weihnachten.

You have to realize that just because its celebrated in a certain way in your country its not likely that everyone else in the world also does it,

The Swedish Jul is more related to the old Norse tradition in which the winter solstice is celebrated since it means
the beginning of the return of the light. This is celebrated by having a large party (Blót) which include a large julboard
with plenty of various food-dishes. Sure the Christian church have merged their x-mas with the Jul butup here
its still more jul then Christmas.
