Thanks for the thought...Problem is I make a lot of rally parts myself and I don't want to speculate myself, so what I was hoping for is some piccies or examples eventually, but FIRST answers from more than one to the question "Are guys using the cast iron junk on the E36 multi-link and are they breaking off the shock mounts?
Then I hope to see specific examples of what Finns may have done to patch the stuff up so it holds...
Specific ideas for E36 multilink junk for high speed and very aggressive drivers...

Kayne Barrie - BMW V12 on gravel - in car - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9hDOlSEOkw The car has been rallied on rougher forest roads than these smooth country roads.

What has a look through the aftermarket BMW parts bin shown?

Local cars here tend to focus on the shock absorbers - (Australia) MCA, Pedders (European - KW, Ohlins)

Even the basic production cars for the Nurburgring 24 hours can have the expensive 4 way suspensions.

Michal Solowow entered Arctic Rally in a Ford Fiesta. Maybe it's a pre-Sweden test.

Local driver Kari Mäkelä has entered to Arctic Rally with an Aston Martin V8! That will be very interesting. Also notable is former F1 driver Heikki Kovalainen in MM-Motorsport's Fiesta R5. In total of 146 entrants are in the entry list

Edit: I found some info of the Mäkelä's Aston Martin. Here:http://www.mat.fi/gallery/85

I don't know how good driver Mäkelä is, but his garage is definetly worth looking, some really nice cars there.
