Interesting info was that he says the unexpected handling in Finland was at high speeds due to aerodynamics. That sounds quite weird to me.
I have a bit of an issue with him saying he didn't leave Toyota or Hyundai with any grudge. Tommi and co. looked more than a little upset about it and elsewhere in the interview it says how no team orders in Greece decided it for Hyundai. Both kind of contrary to what he says.
Thumbs up for the interview guy for mentioning "the driver with Kremlin on his helmet". It is rather interesting that he is in a way Skodas best bet for maiden WRC2 win with the new car in Monte. (note that Solberg is not WRC2 nominated). That's a big potential can of worms waiting to.be opened, especially domestically.

"Let’s say that it would have been a little foolish and a little complicated for us to ask that directly from Thierry who hadn’t won a rally for about a year by then I guess. So for him and for the team it was important for Thierry to win the rally."
Good to see the reason for the team-orders in Greece not being applied confirmed. This is was what I said at the time.
"There were two drives available but one of these wasn’t really an option because I wasn’t ready to do only half a season. I don’t want to do this as a hobby. I want to do it on a professional level and that was only possible at M-Sport."
So he had an option for a part-season, presumably at Toyota !?

Last year, if the driver was registered to WRC2, being not nominated to WRC2 did matter only in terms of points. In the term of event he was still winner in WRC2 class, wasn't he?
So is it different this year?

No, he was not. He was winner of RC2 class.
