I fear that making R5 a base for new WRC will only rise price of R5 not vice versa. Maybe I don't fear... I'm quite sure about that

You are missing the point. Even if the FIA makes the R5 category the top one, it would be just a matter of months before all the brands involved start to make the cars expensive again. We have a very good example with the new WRC cars. From a privateer point of view running a WRC 2000T or a WRC 1600T is virtually the same. You know see that you can run a top WRC 2000T (C4) in regional events for much cheaper price. The problem is way beyond the cost of cars.

Any source of Fiat, VW and Mini wanting to make an R5 (in your maybe-list)?
In "very maybe" you can add pretty much any car-manufacturer, and that would not make it less realistic than it is now...

Lada is working somehow on racing version of Kalina and Granta afaik. They made earlier S1600 version. But as for R5... I am realist
