Yes, basically thanks to the engine. It's going to be production based but with 32 mm restrictor they will be more powerful than S2000 and RRC cars. The 5-speed gearbox will be sequential. I don't see that as such a big issue. In the end it's a turbo car and in worse case they can sacrifice a bit of top speed. Otherwise it will be almost same with S2000 cars. All four suspension corners same is sure a kind of limitation but no so big in my opinion because the S2000 already had all four shock absorbers same.

Whats the restrictor for the RRC and WRC cars now? Do you know if the Fiesta will use the same engine block for R5 as for the WRC car (it is a production engine, right?)?

RRC is 30 mm, WRC 32 but both are significantly more advanced engines compared to R5. I estimate WRC power around 330 Hp and RRC around 275 Hp. I guess the R5 will be somewhere around 290 Hp right from the beginning (based on DS3 R3 power). I think that torque will be also somewhere between but closer to RRC than to WRC. RPM range shall be closer to WRC cars I think.
For Fiesta I don't know how much of stock eco-boost engine is used for WRC...Stupid is as stupid does. Forrest Gump

Done a bit of search and came across this. Block is stock form eco-boost engine but head is custom based on 2.0L WRC engine's design.
