Really interesting article. Sounds like some of it is build quality issues but also some of it must be design issues. How did this not show up in testing? They did lots of kms so were they not testing on a good variety of roads, or were their testing processes wrong? Pretty surprising for a team which had been so successful in WRC.

So, what car should teams choose:
VW fast but not reliable
Skoda fast and reliable, but is it fast enough
Ford is it fast, probably yes, but is it reliable, VW was tested a lot but it still isn´t reliable
Proton ???
Citroen ?

Having base-to-car radio comms used to be common, right? The only truly novel thing would be having it be open for broadcasting purposes. So yeah, imo radio is fine, but using it to milk...
