Mads in Germany tried something new. He went back to a trick he used when he was "youth-rallying in sweden in a Volvo 740.

Since he do not have brake balance adjustment in the C3 R5, he put on close to worn out brake pads at the front, since the car braked way to much on the fornt axle, to get closer to the balance front/rear he was looking for. Smart thinking!

Does any of the R5s come with adjustable brake balance. or is it not allowed in R5?

Br21 can for sure tell us exactly but Pavel Dresler told me that Fabia also has no brake balance regulation. Likely not allowed by the rules. Otherwise I don't know the reason.

this is not something new or strange.Even at track day cars its something common.

Pieter Tsjoen Racing received their 2 Fabia R5 Evo. He will debut it next weekend in the Omloop van Vlaanderen.

Brake balance adjuster is allowed, but now more and more cars have only one brake master cylinder for both front and rear brakes, so obviously there is no way to adjust the bias. Fabia for example has such solution (two way pump, similar like gpN homologated for handbrake in Lancer Evo cars).

What are the pros and cons when the factories choose to go away from possibility for driver to adjust brake balance?
