To rent four years old Punto for IRC rally is waaaay cheaper than to rent up-to-date 207 from Kronos. But it's again no option for good result.
What You can compare is the price for let's say same target - how much it is cheaper to have a car for being in top 5 of IRC than to achieve same in WRC.Stupid is as stupid does. Forrest Gump

Cars with similar age to Xsara.
M-sport is selling latest Focuses around 330 000 EUR, which is much newer car already
Currently there are a few S2000 cars for sale:
Fiesta S2000 with latest spec 200 000- 265 000 EUR
Peugeot 207 latest spec 190 000 - 250 000 EUR
So, you can see that those very old WRC-s like Xsara are even cheaper to buy than latest S2000 cars right now. Moreover, you can rent those old WRC-s for those village events only, while you can rent S2000 cars for any event (the size of the market and the amount of money available on the market is completely different).Colins Crest = Möldri Mätas

Thank's for explanation. Now I'm even more sure, if I hit the seven-lot, I'll rent an old WRC as it is much cheaper, way faster (for an average driver) and more enjoyable, easier to drive....

If you started comparing WRCs and S2000 (which is offtopic , sorry for continuing) , although the price is the same, on local Italian village events rent for a 2005+ WRC is surely at least two times more than a 207 S2000 (although, again, these cars are probably not top suited for IRC) ... WRC is WRC
It is nowadays Prokop´s own car or still BRR?
