Trulli confirmed at Lotus (well, Caterham. You know, the green and yellow ones. Them)

Trulli extends deal at Team Lotus | Adam Cooper's F1 Blog

Jarno Trulli to stay at Lotus for 2012 after contract extension - F1 news - AUTOSPORT.com

pitpass - Official: Trulli stays with Lotus

No great surprise: he's a solid if unspectacular driver with a wealth of experience which is exactly what Caterham (or whatever) will need if they're to progress into the midfield.

    And pino will be happy

Thanks but it's an old news (for me) :
When you're tired of rallying...you're tired of life

Good for that team, and for Jarno so.

I like Jarno as well so lets hope they continue their upward spiral

that's a bit of a surprise to me. I thought that Trulli brought just about everything he could to Lotus and was still getting outclassed by Kovy
It would have been better top get a fresh face in there, possibly a fast young driver.
I don;t understand what the hurry was to resign him for 2012
plenty of talent in gp2 and even some friday drivers. There was even speculation that Sutil might be available for 2012
    oh well

VJ is doing the same cardinal mistake Toyota did.
    you can't argue with results.

At one point during the season it looked like retirement is on the cards, but it looks like Trulli likes the new powersteering so much that he would like to continue. Other than that there seems to be good intra-team athmosphere and both sides (Trulli and Gascoyne/Fernandes) have good working relationship and belief in each other. So despite having younger drivers waiting around, they feel very positive about a long-term co-operation getting extended. Unlike what we are seeing at Williams, where Barrichello seems to be falling out with the team. Trulli has been underwhelming in qualifying for most of the season, but in race trim has matched Kovalainen on the whole. But 2012 is indeed about time this Norfolk team actually starts racing against some of the established teams on track.
