He'd be booing everyone, so if he hit one of the others it wouldn't matter.

I watched the replay again, and although Mayor Tremblay does present the trophy, it does seem like the boos are directed at Vettel .

Maybe the Canadian spectators hate seeing the same driver at the top all the time?

I may be being naive but shouldn't you then cheer the winner of that race louder rather than boo the championship leader.

I haven't watched the video, but how could you know who is being booed?

I would suppose that people would have started booing when they heard that the Mayor was presenting the trophy, as I can't think of any reason why the Canadians wouldn't like Vettel, apart from the fact that he's winning almost everything.

I don't specifically, and the replay isn't conclusive. From the audio it sounds like the "boos" start only once Vettel accepts the trophy and holds it high, rather than when the mayor picks it up to present it .
It really makes no sense to me. Perhaps there were more Webber supporters in attendance : .

Even though im not a fan of his I hope they were not booing Vettel, it reminds me of when Kyonari first won the BSB, there was boos then too

I thought it strange until I realised the mayor was presenting the trophy. Clearly boos were for the Mayor I.m sure Canadian fans would not have booed Vetel as they like racers and are knowledgable fans. Sorry the Mayor probably sucks and the crowd let him know.
