Wrc 2
I think It's a matter of time we hear from Milestone and their new WRC project.
Till that happens, thought to start some constructive discussion posting
thoughts and Ideas of what to expect In the next WRC game.
I'll make a start:
-unique stages, no reusing the same parts of a stage.
-More narrow roads, tighter hairpins.
-Retire from a stage, not from the whole rally.
-More detailed enviroment.
-Dynamic weather.
-Dynamic time of day.
-More realistic sounds.
-More detailed pacenotes.

phfff where do i have to start....
i will add to the unique stages,... real life (LONG)stages ( not all 21 from a rally but atleast 3 or 4 real stages + reverse just more and real! )
- REAL RALLY SCHEDULE! so not after each stage a service!
- a better detailed / realistic service area ! like in CMR2005 ( RBR would be perfect , but i guess thats to detailed for a overall game ) and the look like Colin McRae dirt 2
- An option to have a recce , and at the recce an option to write your own pacenotes
- REAL ENGINE SOUNDS!
- as said before ,... narow roads,...
- a bigger damage model!
- use real fans visitors beside the roads! whit flags etc.
- Marshals!( they are very importent in a rally! ) + the media
- A Forum! to put those ideas overthere!
- ow and they should take a look at hairpins... i dont knwo how hairpins look like in italia ,.... but i guess its not like that in the game
phff... i guess there is a lot more , but i dont get it at the moment ... maybe later"Straight roads are for fast cars,Curvy roads are for fast Rally drivers! ~ Colin McRae

At least there will be some fresh news early February, since 5 winners of the wrcthegame.com contest
will visit Milestone's studio and watch a Pre-Alpha version of WRC2011.
Hope they give It to the press right after that!

It's not official, but some rumors say the 2011 title, will be delayed until the end of the year, since Milestone
want to deliver a very Improved 2nd game, based on the feedback the have received.

Sounds ok to me, id rather play a great rally game instead of something that was rushed.

Hope they won't focus on 'accessibility' Issue again. That didn't work out!
The WRC audience Is much more sim demanding.Really hope they have understood that by now...
Time will tell.

Yeah more stages would be great, and limit the repeated sections. Too much of the 2010 game is repeated, not just with reversing the stages but by using the same start/finish of another stage. Effectively every country in WRC2010 is a Y shape and you run 3 stages based on that. Likewise the hairpin thing is something that they must realise needs to be changed. Don't mind if stages are real or not though, TBH the effort into mapping a real life stage would probably be better spent on improving other aspects of the game.
Also agree with the pacenote thing, I've always wanted a game where you can control your own notes.
Not bothered about the service thing though, not sure why its such an issue for some people. I also don't care about having people stood by the side of the road. One of the most annoying things on RBR is the idiots that wave in front of the car (are they photographers?)You're so beige, you probably think this signature is about someone else.
