Gorban arrived for Day 2, took 2nd and won the Latvian championship by 1 point after winning the Estonian championship the day before!
Final event in LRC is actually 1.5x points so he wins by 8 points but that dosen't change the fact that he won 2 championships in a weekend

Mecsek Rallye, penultimate round of the Hungarian Championship was this weekend. Biggest question was if the title will be decided now, or will it go down to the wire in Nyíregyháza (which will be ERC candidate event). Hadik won after a steady performance that he wasn't able to produce since the beginning of the year, in front of Turán, who only needed a good result to have the best chances for the title. Vincze finished 3rd after he was surprisingly off the pace here. Results:
    1. Hadik-Deák, Ford Fiesta R5 1:27:03.6
    2. Turán-Bagaméri, Ford Fiesta R5 +10.3
    3. Vincze-Bacigál, Skoda Fabia R5 +28.7
    4. Kazár-Tóth, Skoda Fabia R5 +1:10.4
    5. Ranga-Holczer, Skoda Fabia R5 +2:00.1
    6. Bodolai-Popovics, Ford Fiesta R5 +2:02.8
    7. Trencsényi-Verba, Skoda Fabia R5 +3:15.5
    8. Kovács-Istovics, Ford Fiesta R5 +3:18.7
    9. Matics-Németh, Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX +4:49.1
    10. Lencse-Kovács, Ford Fiesta R5 +4:53.7

Notable retirements: Balogh - crash, Velenczei - crash, Osváth - overheating.

On the other hand I cannot imagine why they approved to have two so important events in Baltic region in same weekend...

Miguel Fuster and Ivan Ares fighting well each other after SS5. Fuster is leading the way but only for a bunch of seconds (8''). Bouffier had some problems in the last stage and is down to 4th position, behind Joan Vinyes' Suzuki Swift N5.

Finally, Miguel Fuster won the Cantabria Rally in Spain. Ivan Ares, second, and Bryan Bouffier, third.

The next round of the Spanish Championship will be on Fuster's ground, so we'll see how Ares can manage to keep leading the overall class.

The last rally for Slovenian championship. About championship itself: Rok Turk is on the way to repeat championship crown, on this event we will see after almost ten years former national champion Tomaž Kaučič (i20 R5). There are strong roumers, that Kaučič will drive this car also in 2019. Fingers crossed....

And after half year I'm back again as a codriver....the weather forecast is very very bad-rain (not exactly ideal conditions for RWD, in which I will be seating).

Last week Martin Koči won the Slovak title when his biggest opponent Grzegorz Grzyb broke a wheel already on the second stage of Rally Košice. After that Koči easily won the rally which had very disappointing entry list this year (for me at least).

    1. Koči (Fabia R5) 1:18:23,8 (10 sec penalty)
    2. Gavlák (Fabia R5) +1:33,0
    3. Drotár (Fabia R5) +2:16,3
    4. Béreš jun. (Evo IX gr.N) +2:18,8
    5. Konečný (Impreza STI gr.N) +5:12,5
    6. Kysucký (208 R2) +5:36,7
    7. Baffy (208 R2) +8:26,2 (10 sec penalty)
    8. Kojo (Adam R2) +9:26,6
    9. Smékal (DS3 R3T) +9:28,9
    10. Juhász (Evo X gr.N) +9:42,8 (30 sec penalty)
