    Robin Hood Forest Stages

    Suprised there hasnt been a thread about this great event first round of the 07 Historic Championship. Spent a very pleasant morning watching first at Blidworth 90 left just before the finish then a very fast right in Thieves Wood for both runs. Lots of big commitment all down the field and sooo much sideways action it's difficult to pick out a star. Gareth Lloyd's Escort looked superb in it's new Roger Clark/Esso Li-Lo inspired livery. Perez was excellent even if he looked as though he was trying to get out of the Stratos mid corner in Thieves! Cracking event, highly recommend you catch a round of this championship if you missed today!

    I was in clipstone at the end of the last long straight on the left hander about 600yards from finish.Got there at 11am and went home at 6pm.

    Steve Perez engine let go on this straight about halfway along plooms of white smoke out of rear of engine when he passed us.

    Jeremy Easson had clutch problems and went round the last corner very slow and cautious.

    Mk1 Cortina tried to travel with a shattered rear rim and came to halt on the 90 degree left hander,spectators and my self pushed the car to safety while he changed the wheel but the halfshaft had broke so his rally finished 600yds from the finish.

    Kevin Proctors Subaru was flying really quick and so was Dave Hemingway in his mk2 escort as a course car.

    Really enjoyed this rally looking forward to astra stages.
