    ARC: Toyota S2000 paint job

    Hey all,

Check out the Toyota Corolla's Super 2000 (and Group N (P)) paint job:
    http://www.rally.com.au/home/gallery

That's a huge leap forward as far as looks are concerned.

I guess the only questions is - who will they be competing against?

It's likely Mitsubishi will confirm at the last possible minute, and bring an under-funded outfit to the series, then there's Dean Herridge who could pose an issue.

Word on the street is Les Walkden is going to keep throwing oney at the sport and will bring Crocker back this year - is that the depth of this year's field?

    Cheers
    Greg Johnson

Sounds like Mitsubishi is highly unlikely for 2007, and Dean Herridge and Will Orders are only confirmed for the first two events.

That leaves Bates & Evans (Toyota) and Guest & Windus (Ford).

Let's hope Cody does get a start - at least there might be another manufacturer to cheer for!

The new Corolla does look quite good, had a good look at it last night. Looks a lot better than the black i saw the other day.

I've just sent off my entry for the ARC, so there will be a little red, white and yellow Charade taking on the big boys

Corolla does look good. I'm sure it sounds good as well.

Maybe S2000 is the way forward. Although it's a shame if we're back to the old two horse race, irrespective of which manufacturers it is.

The ARC looks shaky at the moment, although there will be 2 Corolla S2000's, 2 Fiesta S2000's and later in the year a Fiat S2000 with the possibility of a Skoda S2000 for 2008.

Heard that Kev Shaw is running a fiat next year, not as a factory car but as a privateer. The Skoda I will let you guess

Will Mitsubishi have Pedder's signage on the car?

On the sponsorship issue, we have just picked up a new sponsor for our ARC assault. Solartec Electrical, they are the Solar power specialists for Southern NSW. Check them out at http://www.solartec.com.au
