    "Hangar queens" anonymous....

Anyone have a neglected four wheel (or two wheel) project in their garage?

I was able to spend a few moments with my beloved E21 BMW 3 series (late seventies-early eighties) this afternoon.

Its hardly a car that will stir your soul, but the thoughts of what I want it to be...

And the past history. Track days at Road Atlanta, Hallett, and Memphis Motorsports Park...

<SIGH> perhaps I need to reorder my priorities....

If it wears wheels or a skirt, it's gonna cost you money...

    - '62 Chevy stepside pickup with a 283 setting beside it, waiting to be rebuilt

    - 5.3 liter Jaguar V12 engine, waiting to be rebuilt

    - Mazda RX-7, waiting for a paintjob and a rollcage to be installed... and a 12a waiting to be street-ported.

    - Subaru EJ20 turbo, waiting for someone (me) to save enough money for some Cosworth internals, a bigger turbo and a front mount intercooler.

If I'd stayed away from women, cars and guns over the years, I'd likely have enough stashed away to retire by now.

2 Escort RS Cosworths sitting quietly in the garage awaiting some work, mostly cosmetic stuff and 1 mk III Ford Capri sitting in the yard waiting to be tidied up and registered. These chores will be accomplished soon when I retire....................

After my ex retired from racing we had a MG TF we started to restore. Then we moved a couple of times and gave up our former race shop. Car got stored in garages that had no where to work. Finally gave up and sold it.

I spent the better part of a decade chasing rust around my Mini Cooper. I loved that car, but it spent more of its life parked up in my garage than it did on the road.

Rx7's are too much fun....I had an 85 and It still is my favourite car I have ever owned. My dad had a 89 and it was faster and handled even better, but it didn't have the style and soul of the original. What model you have?
