    $20 mil to do the double

    there seems to be some serious smoke about a nice big payday for a racer who can win Indy and the 600 on the same day


    thoughts?

    The IRL/Indy 500 is desparate to get drivers to particiapre who someone outside of Central Indiana has ever heard of.
    DVR . . . . . Life is too short to watch commercials.

    Might as well be $100mil, it's not likely to ever happen. Both I500 & C600 are usually won by highly favored to win drivers (about the top 6 or so in each series, sometimes it's only 3 or 4.) If you are in that elite group, there is too much at stake in your own series to risk it, running a different race series race on the same day. Best chance to happen Ganassi putting JPM in I500.

    Not sure if you're aware, but Bruton Smith is not a part of NASCAR. Also, there's not much mention of this on the NASCAR forums around the internet whereas the Indy Car fans are splooging all over themselves with multi-page threads.
