Jerez Test Thread
I thought I would start a thread about the Official Jerez test.
An interesting observation while watching the live timing (if you didn't already know, it's free, just go to motogp.com and click on the free timing icon, get into it) Kenny Roberts jr, is listed as riding Suzuki250 Team Roberts
Although day 1 was a tad wet, and made it difficult to see who is going to be up there come race time, it's good to see some different names at the top of the time sheets. That's all I have for now, it's too early too see who is fast, though I will be watching Stoner over the next 2 days, I think he will be very quick.Sandra O is YUMMY

I am watching the live timing from Jerez now, and it appears that Kenny Roberts jr has put the Suzuki 250 away and is now riding the KR212V once more.

Nice to see Melandri doing well. He will be happy to be the first honda never mind the top of the pack. I caught a little of the live timing in the morning before work. It's a great way to watch qualifying. I'm going to try and catch the bmw thing tomorrow.
I'm going to pick Rossi, Stoner and Pedrosa as the 3 most likely to take the prize.go speed racer go

Just finished watching the live timing for the BMW award qualifying. Rossi and Pedrosa were flying, and I think they would have to be favourites for the title for sure. Here's the top ten from the 40 minute qualifying.
1) Rossi V - 138:394
2) Pedrosa D - 138:527
3) Edwards C - 139:300
4) Hayden N - 139:556
5) De Puniet R - 139:832
6) Stoner C - 139:873
7) Capirossi L - 139:887
8) Vermeulen C - 140:043
9) Roberts jr - 140:083
10) Checa C - 140:100
I was quite surprised by the pace of De Puniet on the Kawasaki as well as Vermeulen putting it in the top 10. Dissapointing was Melandri, expected more. Can't wait until the season kicks off now, it's going to be a cracker of a year in Motogp IMO.Sandra O is YUMMY

It was a beautiful season and I noticed Pedrosa is sliding more than he used to.
Rossi was amazing as usual and Hayden seems to be a little off the pace.
Lots of new liveries and many blue bikes I think it will be a little confusing in the first races. There WAS nothing like rallying, Superrally is a joke!

There hasn't been anything between the Ducati's of Capirossi and Stoner for at least the past 5 tests.
Hopefully the year is at least near to the action we saw in 2006.
Wet conditions. Portuguese Autosport brought something to the table... the WRC2 crews are using a WRC spec tyre that is harder than the spec Meeke and other CPR runners are using.
