Wow, you can see why he didn't last the course - very Abbring-esque!
Always like following the footage on YouTube for this one, super competitive field this year but Bonato constantly a few tenths ahead after Michel's departure. Good to see Franceschi not a million miles off in his first 4WD event.aka Rodger Davies

Also a special mention for Fourmaux. First time in an R5 car and very impressive speed already (faster then Gryazin, Gilbert, Arzeno etc after a few stages). He did crash on the second day after 2 2nd times.

Gregoire Munster won Rallye Devoluy, only his 2nd rally in an R5. He finished ahead of Mathieu Margaillan despite a 20s penalty. The conditions were a bit like Monte Carlo, but with less snow than usual, mostly slush.
Impressive performance for Munster, he made enormous progress over the season. He might be not the biggest talent, but for sure he will get somewhere, with the backing and the coaching he has.

Silly question maybe, but do French rally cars need licence plates? Just got back from RMC and couldn't help but notice the lack of number plates on all the DS3s, Clios, 208s, Twingos etc.

It's OK, it's a short stage! Remember the FIA and promoter reserve the right to completely fuck over everything we all know, enjoy and understand about this series and sport. Or, maybe they might...
