After first loop of stages from the day in the Rallye des Causses(gravel), spanish driver José Antonio Suarez leading the field of the Peugeot 208 Cup with 10" advantage over Stéphane Consani(codriven by Lara Vanneste from Belgium)and 15" over Manu Gascou

Overall, Jean-Marie Cuoq is leading in front of Julien Maurin, Lionel Baud and Stéphane Lefèbvre...

PS: note the good performance from German Philipp Knof who discovers the french gravel in the Citroën Racing Trophy
Good first stage for Max Vatanen(Fiesta R2)...but he lost many times in SS2 and 3

    French cup week end
Rallye Régional des Monts du Lyonnais : in the hills near to Lyon.
As usual, a very good field of cars (125). The top crews were Michel Giraldo (207 S2000), Joël Arnaud (Fiesta R5), Yves Pezzutti (306 Maxi) and Rémy Risaletto (Escort Cosworth). Two swiss drivers came with their DS3 R3 (Scheidegger and Bron).

No surprise, with the victory of Giraldo. All the top crews are in the Top 5. Great race by Bonnefond, with a surprising 206 CC, achieving a podium.

    1 Michel Giraldo (207 S2000)
2 Rémy Risaletto (Escort RS Cosworth) 18"
    3 Patrice Bonnefond (206 CC F2000) 19"
    4 Yves Pezzutti (306 Maxi) 33"
    5 Joël Arnaud (Fiesta R5) 51"

Rallye Régional du Pays de Caux : here we are in Normandy, between Rouen and Le Havre, close to the Seine.

A good field of cars too, with 115 starters. Top 4WD crews are Pruvot and Christiann, with Celica GT-Four, but too Pascal Deroy (207 S2000) and Olivier Boinet (306 Maxi), and a lot of Evo : Dutot (IX), Bourgeois and Vanson (VIII), and the Subaru of Gonnet. Some 2WD crews are really good, as Leclerc (Clio II) or Brion (Clio III).

It finally ended with a quite large (for a regional) victory of Pruvot.

    1 Xavier Pruvot (Celica GT-Four)
    2 Jean-Michel Leclerc (Clio II F2000) 18"
3 Johan Vanson (Lancer Evo VIII) 23"
    4 Eric Gonnet (Impreza N12b) 46"
5 Michel Bourgeois (Lancer Evo VIII) 47"

Video shakedown from today in Lyon-Charbonnières
A pleasure to see Cédric Robert so spectacular in the T16

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=apJtF...ature=youtu.be

PS: note the Hyundaï was driven by Thierry Neuville(but it was a serie model not a WRC)
You also can see a nice Volvo C30(I think unique in Europe of rallying)in F2000/14 class...

A little too many gentlemen and pensioners, but still very interesting entry list! If I count correctly, I see 10 Porsches! I keep my fingers crossed for Cedric Robert!

This week end in French Cup …

Rallye National de Grasse (D2) : it's the southest event of the series, using some stages of the Monte Carlo, as the Turini. Some guys came from the North or West, as Barbara and Faucher. But none of them score.
The victory came to Dominique de Meyer, as usual I would say, as it's his 11th victory there !

1 Dominique de Meyer (206 WRC)
    2 Fabrice Calascione (306 Maxi) 1'57
3 Frédérick Casciani (Mégane Maxi) 2'11
    4 Olivier Moni (206 F2000) 2'53
    5 Luc Pistachi (BMW 318 Compact) 2'53
    6 Christian Estienne (Porsche 997 GT3) 4'02
    7 Guy Mottard (306 Maxi) 4'09
8 Laurent Lacomy (Lancer IX) 4'35

Rallye Régional du Pays d'Olliergues : here we are in Auvergne, east of Clermont-Ferrand. Not so many top cars, except a Punto S2000, so it let the place for others.
It's the good Pascal Bérard, with a Clio R3, who won, by a few margin on two F2000 cars.

    1 Pascal Bérard (Clio R3)
    2 Antoine Chantelauze (306 F2000) 9"
    3 Thierry Faye (Clio Williams F2000) 14"
4 David Bourgin (Lancer VIII) 41"
    5 Bastien Guiot (C2 F2000) 48"

Rallye Régional Autocourse : here we are close to Tours, and closer to Amboise, where there's a famous castle among the Loire. Two top crews : Fauguet (207 S2000) and Cosson (Porsche).
As Fauguet had troubles, it let Cosson alone for the win.

    1 Anthony Cosson (Porsche 997 GT3)
    2 Nicolas Hernandez (Clio II F2000) 32"
    3 Philippe Rageau (Clio R3) 33"
    4 Patrice Launay (Golf III F2000) 40"
    5 Alexandre Ivaldi (206 F2000) 1'01

Rallye Régional de Vervins : here we are in Picardy. This event is a bit in the middle of nowhere. We are close to the Ardennes, the Nord or Belgium (Chimay).
There was no belgian, but some frenchs running in Belgium as Tournay and Bricout. Other top crew was Christiann. It was a close fight, but at the end Tournay won against Christiann.

    1 Jean-Noël Tournay (Lancer VIII)
    2 Vincent Christiann (Celica GT-Four) 9"
3 Anthony Mortier (Saxo KC) 42"
    4 Alexis Rimbeaux (206 F2000) 43"
5 Sylvain Fouteret (Mégane RS) 46"

Rallye Régional de Faverges : here we are in the Alps, close to Albertville. As usual there, there was a lot of S2000 (3) + 1 R5. Chavanne and Giraldo were the top crews, and they didn't fail to fight for the success. Finally, it was a victory for Chavanne.

    1 Jérôme Chavanne (207 S2000)
    2 Michel Giraldo (207 S2000) 8"
    3 Patrice Bonnefond (206 CC F2000) 44"
    4 Benjamin Perrin (207 S2000) 53"
    5 Florian Duret (DS3 R3) 1'22

Rallye Régional du Frontonnais : here we are between Montauban and Toulouse. The favorites were Julien Marty (Lancer IX) and Lionel Espinasse (Lancer X), but both retired. So Alexandre Bourrel, a serious outsider, took advantage of it and achieved his first victory.

    1 Alexandre Bourrel (Lancer IX)
    2 Anthony Ulbert (Clio F2000) 10"
3 Cédric Delage (Opel Speedster) 33"
    4 Pierre Lerosier (Clio F2000) 37"
5 Benoît Tabaud (Lancer VIII) 38"

Rallye National de l'Anguison : we are in the heart of Burgundy, in the middle of nowhere, in the "Morvan".
The level wasn't high … Daniel Fores, with his 306 Maxi, dominated the race, in front of Jérémy Dapoigny's 207 S2000.

    1 Daniel Fores (306 Maxi)
    2 Jérémy Dapoigny (207 S2000) 28"
3 Philippe Kazmierski (Saxo VTS) 42"
4 David Lamarche (Clio Ragnotti) 55"
5 Gilles Bouvard (Clio Williams) 1'14

Rallye Régional de Neufchâtel en Bray : we are in Normandy. The city is between Rouen and Amiens, more or less. It's known for his cheese, but the rally is quite nice too for a régional. Roads are really beautiful there. Pustelnik with a 208 T16 won, but Pruvot (Celica), and Roussel (Porsche) did a good race too.

    1 Stéphane Pustelnik (208 T16)
    2 Xavier Pruvot (Celica GT-Four) 8"
    3 Yannick Roussel (Porsche 997 GT3) 10"
    4 Teddy Blanc-Garin (Lancer IX) 26"
    5 Olivier Boinet (306 Maxi) 31"

Rallye Régional de la Rivière Drugeon : we are in Franche-Comté, close to Pontarlier and Switzerland. The R3 made the law, and it's Prevalet who beat Guigou, with a great margin.

    1 Mickaël Prevalet (DS3 R3)
    2 Emmanuel Guigou (Clio IV R3) 16"
    3 Sylvain Cachod (Clio III R3) 29"
    4 Sylvain Peccaud (Punto S2000) 46"
5 Fabien Frobert (Mégane Maxi) 47"

Rallye National de la Fougère : to finish our Tour de France, we were in Aquitaine, north of Bordeaux. Their was a nice field of top cars, with various WRC (Mini for Jean-luc Roché, Impreza for Martin, …), and S2000 for Jérôme Galpin and Luc Taveneau. But not so many cars, around 60 only. Galpin won logically, as he is a very good driver, with national level. The others were far away, and Purrey finished 2nd with his Lancer Gr. N.

    1 Jérôme Galpin (207 S2000)
2 Frédéric Purrey (Lancer IX) 1'01
    3 Jean-Luc Roché (Mini WRC) 1'43
    4 Yannick Patier (Impreza) 2'42
5 Frédéric Martin (Impreza WRC) 3'23
