You see when I think of "acumen" words like astuteness, awareness, brilliance, comprehension, insight, refinement, intelligence spring to mind. I might make the odd spelling mistake, but who doesn't? You often use the word "than" instead of "then" in the wrong context, but up until now I would never have dreamt about pointing this out to you. I think it is apalling that someone who claims to be a teacher pokes fun at someone who sometimes has difficulty spelling when they know exactly what is being conveyed.

I won't take your advice and buy "some books" thank you, much like you wouldn't take my advice and go on a personality course to develop your peoples skills.

I'd be willing to bet that has a lot to do with having to deal with them face to face versus the comfortable anonymity that forums like this offer. I'd also further speculate that you wouldn't dare talk to your co-workers the way you "talk" to folks here. You'd find your ass on the floor if you did.
