    Brits - Please Help

A question for anyone really, but I suspect the Brits on the forum may be more likely to be able to help me out.

I saw a car drive by yesterday and have no idea what it was. It was right-hand drive, so I'm assuming it was British. I'm guessing it may be from the 1960's. Quite small, possibly a 2 seater. Didn't have a top, but it had full door frames. It had rounded, 'inverted bathtub' type styling similar to a Porsche 356, only a little stubbier, less sleek looking. No emblum/badging that I could see on the back, and I didn't get a good look at the front.

    Any Ideas?

    "I" before "E" except after "C". Weird.
