    Unhappy Henry Surtees Killed at Brands Hatch

    Two articles here one saying what happened and the other comfirming his death.

    Awful news I saw the race on tv but didn't hear news of his death until a listener to Radio 5 Live emailed in to the show late last night to ask that mention was made of the loss of a talented young driver.

    My condolences to his family and friends.

    Terrible news, although we can at least take some hope from how this is not such a regular occurance in motorsport as it was a few decades ago.

    RIP and thoughts with those around him, this must be a hard time for them.

    Very sad news.

    I remember when Henry Surtees was born. It doesn't seem that long ago. Such a sad loss.


    Incidentally they have got wheel tethers on the Formula Two cars, but presumably the tether failed in this accident.
