Spanish Grand Prix thread.
OK, I'll start the ball rolling. Those who have been complaining about the bodgy diffusers now have to bite the bullet and go the same route. Or maybe a bridge further with a tripple decker. Some may have to alter their suspension while others just do a bolt on kit remedy.
So! who will be the leaders this weekend? will there be a change of fortunes at the front?
Will Red Bull have even more wings? Will Fonzo take over the pointy end of the grid? or will Jarno rule?
Who will you pick for your pickems?

BMW will prove again that they should stick to saloons with their "we couldn't get it done again" Barcelona aero package. The mythical ghost of Senna resonates.... big time.

New aero parts for some teams, KERS for some teams, not for others, I can hardly wait. It is going to be so interesting to see what happens.

I agree with all predictions here. I think that Brawn GP will extend their lead over Red Bull with the new updates, I think (maybe wishfully) that Ferrari will be pretty quick with the new car in Spain, while BMW will still suck. McLaren will be so-so in Spain.

Brawn, the genius
I think that much of today's races depend on the strategy of the team, and the ringmeister is Brawn. I honestly believed that some of the races that SchM won were due, in no small part, to the strategy of Brawn which allowed SchM to use his superior speed over short distances when it mattered most.
And Brawn is there for the bunsen. When in doubt, run in circles, scream and shout

My bet is that the racing won't be any better than it was before that stupid chicane was put in.

No new diffuser for BMW but new aero package.
Ned Flanders admits to making a mistake with the development programme

"The main reason we turned down the chance of updates during the first races was the testing restriction," said Theissen. "The other reason was the interference with the aero package on the car.
"This approach looks to be wrong at the moment, but let's wait and see after a couple more races.
"Our performance in Melbourne was fine and it even worked in Sepang, but then the other teams passed us. That was based on a strategy: we always planned not to bring updates in the fly-away races.
"Our first target for an update was always Barcelona and this will happen."The world according to Taki Inoue: https://mobile.twitter.com/takiinoue/st ... 7249326080

I suspect it will be a boring race as it tends to happen in Barcelona.
Button will win and hopefully the other teams will improve their performance. There WAS nothing like rallying, Superrally is a joke!
