For me atleast Ford have an already driven machine in the Fiesta. Ciroen's S2000 won't have had many miles.

The Fiesta's sales should be bumped up a bit too. I think the Focus is the hottest selling Ford. I have heard good stuff about it atleast.

Mads Ostberg has admitted he surprised himself with how quickly he got to grips with the Ford Fiesta S2000 on the recent Rally Germany. "The car is very different from what I have been used to, but I was really impressed. The chassis is great and suits me very well."

Looks like M-Sport finally gave up placing spare tyre behind rear axle. This solution is a source of of many discussions and was largely criticised for several good reasons like bigger body polar moment of inertia, possible danger for other cars when spare tyre is lost, and in case of S2000 especially bad cooling of catalic converter and exhaust which led to several fires earlier in the season. If I remember right Pentti was one of those who criticised this a lot.

May be Mikkelsen`s car has some improvements which will be useful in Fiesta WRC development?

Could be. For sure it requires using some jokers for new homologations and that's something You don't do just for fun.

Not everything requires their use, the use of new homologated packages.
