    Cool Casino games

We went to a charity casino last night (which meant you bought un-refundable chips only and had to lose the lot!) yet still only played the one game with decent odds - Blackjack.

What's everyone else's favourite casino type game?

Usually Blackjack, or low-pot poker. Straight and low-hold...

There's also craps... show the dice some love, and they'll love you back.

Atlantic City is not too far for me... just a ride up the Interstate 95 and there you are.

And then there is this tid bit from my fair city

Police: $9.9 million embezzlement led to layoffs at firm

She used these monies to gamble. She used them to remodel her home. She used them to buy expensive clothes, shoes, [including] a $4,000 pair of Italian shoes. She had more than 400 pairs of shoes in her closet," Sgt. Mark Varnau of the Sheriff's Department told CNN. "She had 160 high-end purses valued at $2,000 apiece."

Yeomans is believed to have gambled away $6 million, Varnau said.

Gambling addiciton is ugly.....but that doesn't mean people who can gamble once in a while cannot enjoy it and millions do.

I enjoy Roulette the most or have at least had the most success at it. I also love playing Texas Hold'em but I don't lump it it in with the other casino games since the "house" doesn't really control the game, the players do. You play your adversaries and it is a game of more skill than any other game foun in a casino. Luck is involved to be sure, but a skillful Poker player can beat that luck often, and you look no further than the big names of poker and how they consistently find ways to win in tournament play. Not to mention they have no other means of support!!!

That is abolutely true. And although I made referance to a gamling addiction. I can now enjoy an ocasional night (about once every other month) at the Casino. My real problem wasn't table games. In fact I usually only played them when I had out of town guests. I ran a very lucrative building company in Las Vegas between 1978, and 1983. I was the sole signer of the accounts of a California based bussiness. Which meant all checks were were deposited by me, and I was responsible for all material, overhead, and payroll for Nevada employee's. I ran into tropuble at the "sports books" They were just starting to become common at the time I arrived there. I never used any proceeds from the company for gambling. However, during football season I would Bank at the sports books. : Usually betting between 50% and 133% of my weekly earnings. After monday night football I would cash in all my winning tickets, and deposit the proceeds into my bank accounts on Tuesday. I was always financially comfortable. Needless to say however, during Football season I didn't make many deposits into my savings accounts:

Tazio...it is funny but the Sports Book and horseracing are where I found in Vegas I was just stupid. I went for a holiday there and the novelty of betting on horse races all over the world, betting on sports everywhere and drinking free beer was a costly exercise!!!!
