So now the times make sense. There was some rain water pipe in a ditch which they dug out by cutting in the first run and nearly everybody made a puncture on it in the second run. Černý, Dohnal and Vlček were the only one from the top crews who avoided it. Černý is leading.

From the times in the following stage I'd say some had damaged geometry or suspension from the puncture as well. Another reason could be wrong tyres in the spare for the actual conditions on the stage.

So after first day we can expect a big battle tomorrow. Tomorrow there are two well known stages for everyone except Kalle (including the long one which will most likely decide) and one new stage for everyone. At the end there is a second run of the city stage.

    1. Černý
    2. Rovanperä +7,6
    3. Kopecký +12,7
    4. Mareš +22,0

Video SS3-SS8. You can skip the interviews in Czech of course
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XL1Ku4p7fKg

The most funny thing from the interviews is that some drivers were complaining they had slicks and needed wet tyres (Dohnal, Odložilík for example) while Kopecký was complaining that he had wet tyres and needed slick

And a second funny thing. I don't know if you ever saw something like that. The second loop today was started 24 minutes ahead of the schedule...

Now it's sunny and the roads are dry but the morning loop was still partially wet and full of crashes. Mareš, Dohnal, Pech and Trojan all went off. Only Pech was able to continue with broken suspension.

Looks like Kopecky had problems or gave up on the penultimate stage. Well done to Kalle, beating Kopecky at home is indeed quite an accomplishment.

Yes, he gave up. Because of missing in Hustopece and cancellation of Pribram, for him was more important to score maximum points in Czech championship.
