How to embed Youtube video on the forum.

Just thought I'd let everyone know that Mark has enabled youtube embeding on the forum so now you can embed youtube videos straight into the forum.

So for example if I wanted to embed the following video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hEK7POxpVeE all I need to do is get the text after the v= bit which I'd put in bold and put it inside [/ youtube] (without the space) tags and the video should imbed itself directly on the page and people won't need to open a new tab/window to view Youtube videos

Hopefully this works

Feel free to try and post your own youtube vids as a test

Unless they have a special process here, all you really need to do is copy the text from the EMBED VIDEO in the upper right of any you tube video

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/cC0neNIEueM&hl=en&fs=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/cC0neNIEueM&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>

whoops- that doesn't work like it does in standard blog programming.
crash video - not embedded, just testing.
hmm , feeling a bit incompetent here...tested removing space and adding bold

- there is no video, thus the blank box. This is just so you can see the RIGHT WAY to embed video. The actual proper embedding is below

Wink instructions for dummies

[/ youtube] - OK- now I get why the initial directions are unclear. If you show the proper way, even without an actual video id, then viewers can't see the instructions.
In summary, use standard html code; do not copy the begin tag/end tag because the end tag has an extra space that needs to be removed after the hash mark.
