Could just be a weight saving thing Citroen are trying. The co-driver only really needs to hand his card through the window. And they can use the weight saved, although a very small amount, somewhere else.

I havnt read up on the regs regarding this but if its legal it a decent weight saving.
Not only the material saving but you then lose the electric motor, the runners and supports for the glass, switches, wiring etc etc.
It all helps!
