For example Gryazin was so off the pace with the Hyundai and really on it with the Polo. Hyundai by any means is not a bad car but I'll presume more difficult to set up and drive.

It is not only about car, but also about team. And of course about setup.

On a video posted on Instagram, he said: “We picked up a puncture on the front-right on a fast right corner followed immediately by a left that tightened and the moment I turned for the left the tire just kicked off the bead and we were passengers from that point.

So basically only Huttunen has been able to use i20 potential?

Yes, of course. I agree. I don't blame them. Neuville is one of the best drivers in the world.

I20 have been pretty successful in Spain.

Didn't really wanted to click on like, I did it instead of quote but that doesn't matter

    Ha yes, got the like
I'm not by any means bashing i20 and on the contrary I'm all about more competitive machinery.

But for me at least the amount of Fabia's and Polo's in the itinerary is insane. And that's for a reason as I'm pretty sure these are the cars the teams and drivers trust the most.

Also M-Sport's Fiesta's have fallen quite behind on popularity and speed.

Btw that itinerary and the competition was great. Also it was really good that Thierry got a really good resistance from the local guys. I wish we had more Italians in the WRC2/WRC3

sorry cant find any other word to describe your opinion after this rally, when it was clear that Italians have a big competition championship.
Just to remind that Crugnola had a new car that didnt manage to find the right setup, Campedelli was absent, and Ucci wasn t at competitive tyres.
Three of the fastest Italians of last years, were not at fight for various reasons.
After that we had Albertini(slower from above 3) with some 7seconds difference before he eased at last loop as he couldnt catch Neville and didnt want to risk the first position at CIR.

I agree that I20 or Fiesta aren't on the same level as Fabia or Polo overall but I think that the difference in speed in one event is really small and it is possible to make I20 or Fiesta competitive. IMHO it plays bigger role in international championships where cars like Fabia or Polo are more universal and simply work everywhere and especially Fabia is also more reliable than its competitors.
