Former BTCC ace finally loses marbles.
I suppose driving touring cars, sportscars and rally cars must get boring after a while.
The men in white coats are surely on their way to collect this man. I've checked the date and it isn't April 1st.

The 2008 Dakar on a quad?!
Good luck PB.

When I saw the title I thought this was about Patrick Watts, but then he's always been bonkers.
Absolutely mad. That makes him the 3rd BTCC driver of recent years to compete after Kurt Luby did it on a bike a few years back and Yvan did it this year. Good luck Phil.
Looking at his newspage, I found this photo of him doing a road rally. Check out his terrified navigator! http://www.philbennett.com/news/default.asp?id=98You lot still here?!

Good luck, Phil. I hope he'll be alright, the Dakar is not the safest motor racing event.

hope he does well but I would much prefer him to be in the BTCC - he is a very skillful driver and would do very well.
I've got friends racing all over the world.... good luck to you all.

Well at least there is time enough for him to seek professional help
Jim Raynor will be returning soon!
Latvala already said for 2025-2026 they should just take the hybrids out.
