also they hired prodrive the set things up...just like ford did with m-sport not a direct BMW involvment.
Exactly - it's a win/win for BMW. In simplistic terms, the Mini does well, they get good publicity and pat themselves on the back. If it fails, then so what - they're not hugely involved - it's Prodrive's fault. And the same is true for Ford - AbuDhabi provide most of the money for the team along with sales of Rally cars - rather than fundingfrom Ford Motor Company.
I seem to remember reading that BMW didn't like their cars in Rallying - as the cars get dirty and it didn't fit their image!!

Is there a better sound than that of Porsche engined Flat-6 ???

Do anyone know the reason why Dani Sordo split from his codriver Diego Vallejo? One of the article I vaguely remembered reading it has something to do with their disagreement over money. I sort of guess what that means, but I rather not speculate if it could be wrong.

    http://www.maxrally.com/news/entry/s...ges_co-driver/
"But while the partnership with Vallejo worked well, the split has come about for financial reasons. In a statement, Sordo said that although he and Vallejo remained friends, “economic disagreement” meant that they would not be competing together in 2011."
Anyway, I wonder how much codrivers are getting paid on average compared to the drivers.

I thought it was his own PSWRT that ran his car? I know that PH-sport is running Raikkonen's and Van Merkstejn's cars but are you sure they are also running PSolbergs?
