Hello
How are you? I am a Portuguese motorsport historian and I am doing some serious research on Rally History. I see there's very few Motorsport forums in English concerning Rallies and this one was recommended to me. I am looking for fellow researchers and contacts of motor racing people.

I am looking for other enthusiasts who want to share their experiences, drivers' contacts, photos and other material,...
I am looking for doing a bigger project, I don't know if it will be for the web or only for print

Welcome to the forum.
If you look back through this thread you will see the posters have focussed on compiling a full set of results. I assume that once the statistics are in place the compilers will progress to recording the story or stories of the different rallies. Good luck in gathering material.Last edited by D-Type; 11th November 2014 at 21:27.

Thanks. For the results I use mainly ewrc-results.com/index.php . That's good there's people interested on results because that work is needed too.

Most of the "prime suspects" for possibly having them will already have seen my requests elsewhere for photos of the two works BMC Cooper S (DJB92B and GRX310D) on the 1966 Swedish Rally. In case anyone hasn't, I repeat it here. This is part of an intensive investigation into the history of another ex-works car.

Hello
May someone help me with Darniche's race record? I have looked on eWRC but they haven't the team in which he was entered, so I'd like to ask if someone can help m with this

Don't know about any racing he did but his rallying results should be available - in fact eWRC shows his best known victory, Monte Carlo 1979 (and the narrow margin of that win hides the fact that his supporters seemed to have been responsible for a large rock "falling" into the road in front of Waldegaard, costing him the win). So Darniche was popular in France...even after he started wearing a "rug" on his head!

Ahh yes, I know, Waldegaard slowed down and Darniche kept forcing and it was due to that that he lost the rally on the final stage, if I'm not confusing. What "rug"?
I knoe eWRC, they have a lot of material but sometimes they lack the entrants of each rider, which is why I am asking for specialists on stats and so on.

https://mirandaribeirog.wordpress.co...nders-kullang/ -I hope you enjoy, I have been devoting my research mostly to rallies
It's OK, it's a short stage! Remember the FIA and promoter reserve the right to completely fuck over everything we all know, enjoy and understand about this series and sport. Or, maybe they might...
