According to M.Holmes' Pirelli WR27 it was a part of european calendar.

I competed in the 1977 RACE rally with Enrique (Henri) Inurrieta in a Group 1 RS2000,start number 20.
After the first leg, we wer 5th overall
Positions after Leg 1 (16 of 26 stages): 1 Munari 2:05.34; 2 Fernández +3.52; 3 Mouton +5.49; 4 Cañellas +10.16; 5 Inurrieta +16.10; 6 Trabado +17.01; 7 Dumont +18.25; 8 Servià +20.42; 9 Salvi +24.40; 10 Perejoan +27.03; 11 De Sousa +28.16; 12 Torres +28.48; 13 Bonet +29.20; 14 Muñoz +31.53; 15 Lacasa +32.28.

We took those 6 seconds off Mouton, and due to other retirements and problems we were leading the rally overall when we slid of the edge of a very muddy bridge with no parapet, and the front wheels dropped off the concrete, with no way to get back on again. Bitter disappointment of course, but remember we were in a group 1 car, and Mouton had a full works Porsche!!
