For much of his career, Prost concentrated on trying to do what was necessary to win, at the slowest possible speed. He won most of his races almost by stealth, particularly in 1986/87, when he was not in the most competitive car, and had to devise tactical and strategic ways to beat the Williams-Hondas. Added to which, he made fewer mistakes than almost any other driver.
Those of "questionable knowledge" will be the scientists. You might think that rocket science is hard but: Rocket Scientist: Someone who understands Newton's Laws of motion and basic chemistry....
