Too much money... When I told you about the support that was given for portuguese government to the Rally of Portugal it was because Í'm not sure that the local authorities will have the same ability to make a similar effort and for now Madeira island is part of Portugal!!
For sure, if you come here you will see 10/15 S2000 in action showing an intense pace, friendly people, good food and nice hotels!
As I said I was already there on 2001 or 2002 , the people , stages , temperature , entry list and the island . That's why i'll return.

My wife is portuguese and i know Portogallo and Madeira relatively well.I know well your difficulties in the transport of cars , logistic and other things.

I think is not a real, real problem. Organization has accustomed us with a big and very good events. That's why i go there.

Now ....without support from the government can be a serious problem.

But if you say that we have 10/15 S2000 , not bad.

We will have the support from the government, but the own government from here....maybe this support should not be too high as Rally of Portugal had this year..it is question of more money for someone and less for the others. All of this explanation was given because you ask me if we have any chance to see in Rally Vinho Madeira the same level of the drivers like in Portugal, and I told you that is a little bit difficult that this can happen...but is not impossible!

About the number of S2000, we can make these accounts:

    Portuguese drivers

    Bruno Magalhães-Peugeot 207 S2000
    Alexandre Camacho-Peugeot 207 S2000
    Vitor Pascoal-Peugeot 207 S2000
    Vitor Sá-Peugeot 207 S2000
    José Pedro Fontes-Fiat Punto S2000
    Nuno Barroso Pereira-Fiat Punto S2000

    Foreigners drivers

    F Loix- Peugeot 207 S2000
    Nicolas Vouilloz-Peugeot 207 S2000
    Brice Tirabassi-207 S2000
    Giandomenico Basso-Fiat Punto S2000
    Anton Alen-Fiat Punto S2000
    Corrado Fontana-Fiat Punto S2000
    Volkan Isik-Fiat Punto S2000
    Dani Solà- Fiat Punto S2000

So I believe that 14 S2000 are almost sure

There are this doubts, but I believe that drivers will come:
    Jan Kopecky- Peugeot 207 S2000
    Luca Rossetti-Peugeot 207 S2000
    Renato Travaglia- Fiat Punto S2000

    Rumours:
    Enrique Garcia Ojeda-Peugeot 207 S2000

So my bet are 15/18 S2000 this year at least!! lets wait. Is too early!!

Madeira: I thought Vitor Sá ended rallying...

Karbonyl: Solowow? Why? He doesn't skip Madeira as last year?

Yes, this is another doubt that I have. In the beginning of the season I think Rally Vinho Madeira was not in his plans, he never was very competitive here, but now looking on his website it seems he has changed the plans...but I'm not sure. Maybe any polish member can clarify this situation..

No Mirek, Vitor Sá will be present in the most important rally of his homeland!

He only stopped his career in the Madeira rally championship...It was a strange decision of Vitor!!

    Madeira , i talk with Luca and 80-90 % .

He said that the organization already talks something to him will be present and he liked to go.

Depends next Rallys , budget ...... He likes the type of asphalt from Madeira and could be a great opportunity for him to win some more points

As I remember last year he didn't enter Madeira Rally only because some administrative problems on the borders.

Yeah , great chances , but careful , nobody knows what can happen in the meantime.

Bad luck and 80-90% can transform on 10-20%.
