The point rules changes just 24h before the start of the 2007 season
Points rules change 24hrs before start @ 04:29 PM - Strong rumours in Monte Carlo say that the day points are cancelled. Originally each rally day should have given 3-2-1points for the top3 instead of SupeRally. It is not clear now if SupeRally will be returned in its 2005 set up or cancelled altogether, giving little point in retired crews re-starting. However according to Rallye1.de Manfred Stohl has said "The change is good because to score points a driver should complete the entire distance."

Come on the day points 3-2-1 were cancelled allready when the new rules came out in December at FIA homepage. The only change in superally will be 10 minutes penalty for missing the 1st stage and no penalty for the 2nd stage and from 3rd stage 5 minute penalty for every missed stage.
There will be no change in that. The history of the Ford Focus WRC http://web.zone.ee/focushistory/

Slight sidenote, on http://www.pitstop.tv I read that manufacturers are only allowed six engines and limited amount of transmissions this season. If they violate they get a five minute penalty, anyone heard anything about that?
