wow, not a good way to start a Monday morning . Another one of motorsports best taken away from us because of an aviation accident . I have fond memories of David's driving especially in the late 1990's and his commentating in more recent years.
I saw coverage of the plane crash on Sky News, but I had no idea at the time who was involved!

Don't know the other guy who is also in motorsport (Richard Lloyd) but to hear that David is one of the fatalities I am just totaly devastated and shocked to the point of feeling really gutted and empty right now.
You will forever be in our memoried Dave!

Very sad news
I heard about the crash last night on the radio at work but all that was said was that 5 people were killed with no names mentioned.
It was a bit of a shock to read this and find out it was the same tragic accident.
RIP David Leslie, Richard Lloyd, the brave pilots (who tried to recover the stricken plane) and the third passenger.

Obviously saw this on the news but had no idea David and Richard were involved. I always enjoyed David's WTCC commentary, not to mention his stern words on driving standards during his Proton days. Sad loss. I do hope ITV and Eurosport give him the fitting tribute he deserves at their next live BTCC and WTCC broadcasts.

What awful news I remember Richard Lloyd from the days when he ran Jonathan Palmer in the Canon Porsche, and IIRC he also ran the Akai Audi that Stirling Moss raced many years ago.
David Leslie was of course a very talented and versitile racer who will perhaps best be remembered for his BTCC exploits.
My condolences to their families.

Wet conditions. Portuguese Autosport brought something to the table... the WRC2 crews are using a WRC spec tyre that is harder than the spec Meeke and other CPR runners are using.
