R2, R3 and group N2 and N3?
People, I have missed somethign from FIA, and do nto know what is applied form now on regarding groups.
As far as I knew, R2 and R3 were new groups, R2 closer to an N2 (both up to 1600 but with much limited preparation, just a little more than a classic group N), and R3 closer to a A7 (more preparation admited, almost a group A, in this case up to 2000cc).
A little confusing.
I first though this classes would be admitted from jan 1st, 2008.
But I see soem people entrying Super 16000 with R3 Clios................
So, can someone point me any Fia document stating new clases?
Or explain me a little more
Another one: R clases would be a new group?
currently we have:
group N (classic group N 1,2,3 and 4, plus Super 2000 cars classified as in N4)
Group A ("classic group A 5, 6, 7 and 8 + Super 1600 in A6, + Kit cars in A6 or A7, + WRC in A8)
R2 and R3 are new groups ??Zeque

There are no specifications yet for these R classes so even some manufactures are naming their products as R this and that these cars are not representing the new R classes.

To me it seems the FIA hasn't yet figured out what it wants to do with the existing groups and classes and the new regulations/groups.

Thanks.
Quite strange since manufacturers, and even driver (Manuel Rueda entered JWRC 2007 with a Clio R3) are talking about it (see also citroen.com in sport section yhe bulletins are all about C2 R2), and even speak about power figures (some 230 cv for R3, 185 cv for R2) , etc, etcZeque
