BRC announces entries to date
Hey guys,
The BRC has announced those who've entered this year's series so far.

It looks like it should be a killer year this year. If only we were so lucky down in Australia to have similar depth in the field! *sigh*
Cheers

Nice to see that something happens around MG. Duo Mark Higgins, Stuar Jones is sure very nice to see in the car!

Guys whilst it's nice that you are enthusiastic about our premier rally championship the organisers are putting a lot of + spin on what is quite a dissappointing entry. Juho Hänninen the current leader of the PWRC is only likley to the Pirelli and possibly Wales at the end of the year and a lot of these cars are part of one make series (the Swifts and Citroen C2s). Whilst it's nice to see the MG's there could do with being some more numbers there as most of the qualifying rounds have to rely on entries from other series that share events such as the Irish Tarmac and British Historics that help bolster the numbers and allow the events to run in the first place. It's not quite as rosy as they are making out and sadly the move away from allowing WRC cars has yet to bear the fruit of progressing our young talents careers as was promised.

The BRC is, shall we say, weak and dieing. The one-make series have padded the entry. I will still go and spectate, but it's not what it was.
Is there a better sound than that of Porsche engined Flat-6 ???

Oh dear. It's another indication of rallying being in a bit of a crisis at the moment. Why would anyone outside a core of die-hard fans want to go and see a few Group N machines? The BRC badly needs some sort of overhaul. Super 2000 rules, maybe? Even then, though, it's difficult to see it recovering to anywhere like its status 10 years ago.

I'd still put my money on Darren Gass to win.
