Even more hyped for this season The only problem is one "thing" in the WRC is still in a higher class than the rest, hopefully someone can "level up"

We are all hyped but realistically everyone will be cautious with setup and driving in the first 4-5 rounds. The real action should begin in 2018 when they spend their first homologation jokers.

I'm sure some teams see opportunity in this situation, and will not be so cautious. Based on the past, and from other motor-sport projects, Toyota will be all in from the beginning.

Are you serious? What's the point of being "cautious" (really a strange word to use in Rallysport) for so long? They'll go flat out from day 1. If some, possibily Citroen, will show some advantage, the others will try to fight back the next event, not the next season...

Unless we get some dry monte stages where they all choose the same tyres we're probably not going to be able to tell much about car performance this weekend.

I'm personally much more excited for the start of this WRC season than previous ones. New car regs, some big driver changes and a new team joining, plus previously dominant VW leaving should all shake things up nicely.

JML said in an interview that Toyota will do testing for Sweden in Finland, both JML and Hänninen driving two days.
