Interesting news in MN today about VW. According to FXD they tested the definitive 2017 spec Polo somewhere 'close to Finland'.
They have been testing there for the last two weeks with a car that looks very visually different to the car we've seen testing to date. They are thrilled no pictures surfaced, although they suspect spies from Toyota were in attendance.
Apparently the front bumper is completely different. With a bigger rear bumper and different diffuser. Front and rear fenders have changed. Sounds like the rears have air intakes like we've seen on the Toyota. Also new bonnet and wider doors. Plus a bigger rear wing with more overhang.
It really is an exciting time for rally fans. Crazy to think we've been watching these cars test for months, but apart from the Citroen we've not really seen anything definitive in terms of the aero of these cars.RS Motorsport Media - Follow me on Instagram: rsmotorsportmedia

Why is it that british media fabricate news when they do not have anything to report ?

If you're talking about mainstream UK newspapers then yes this is often true. They don't talk about rallying at all.
But in this case. Everything I wrote above is a summary of direct quotes from Technical Director Francois-Xavier Demaison. So I think it's all good info. Not point VW lying about something that will eventually be revealed to everyone. They won't be able to keep the car under wraps for much longer.RS Motorsport Media - Follow me on Instagram: rsmotorsportmedia

VW has definitely been testing in Finland a couple of weeks ago, and since no pictures has come up the MN story probably is correct!
