    Could rain in Mexico as well. It did in 2017. In 2018 it rained in Sardegna, in 2019 in Argentina and Turkey.

    Reports that Tanaks car stopped after fafe jump

    Estonian media writing the same. No more info at the moment.

    Yep, they’ve managed to test for Mexico, Argentina, Portugal, Italy and even for a winterish Wales, as the last 2 stages were run under heavy rain and fog!

    He retired after Fafe/Lameirinha second jump (the most famous one) with some kind of tech issue (we were on the first jump and the car seemed ok). Anyway, Tanak was impressive all event long, managing to get some extra kms with the car in quite challenging conditions. Sordo was also lacking kms (absent since Catalunya) and the way he was driving clearly showed he was having a great time (so do we, by watching him!).

    Btw, after another fabulous show from WRC drivers on a national event it’s hard not to think that if 2022 regs end being based on R5’s we’ll miss the current WRC cars for many years. They’re probably the most amazing machines ever created for this sport.

    Even before seeing that, watching the various videos from this weekend, it was a reminder of why Portugal has/needs such stringent spectator controls on Rally Portugal.

    Does anybody know their condition?

    Yep, due to the entry list this event was hugely crowded but safety forces presence was reduced, specially comparing to Portugal’s WRC rally top standard. From what I’ve heard, the guy only suffered a small bruise by falling down from the gravel bank.
