I think 1996 was the first all special stage year.

    WRCTV_Italy:

The pandemic has slowed the development of the new generation of 2022 cars, however the first tests are on the way:

M-SPORT will be the first team to test their Rally1 car. The date should be at the end of February, almost coinciding with the Arctic Rally.

TOYOTA will test their car in the first days of March, ie a few days after M-Sport.

HYUNDAI has not communicated the date of the tests and it has not received the green light from the federation. This fact suggests that Hyundai may leave the WRC after 2021.

They also dont want to do that as rear spoilers and diffusers cost a lot if damaged.
