i think trying to find a balance is a good point. when we think about the past, about format, heritage is all true. but we have to take into account that things were different, and sport has evolved...
Rally always had an endurance element.
And I remember the (mainly Scandinavian) drivers moaning about long days, night stages, lack of sleep and it being dangerous way back in the 80's on the RAC...
this would be my choice
