At least in terms of quantity - there are 111 crews at the finish line (see page 3) :)

Very good pace from the new Fiesta R5 with Demaerschalk behind the wheel at Omloop van Vlaanderen. The stages are very similar to those in Ypres (a part of one stage has actually been used for Ypres in the past). The engine seems to be working very well, lots of torque as it seems, very good exit from junctions. In terms of suspension it doesn't seem as stable as the Fabia yet, but looks already better than the previous Fiesta. And not important, but it's a very nice looking and sounding car, quite different from all other R5 cars. Very promising debut in Belgium, huge contrast to what the car has shown in WRC so far. Can't wait until the car is more defined and the drivers/teams start to get more experience with it. Next event for Demaerschalk is Condroz.

Good to see it confirmed that it was running to FIA compliant spec here. There have been questions over what restrictor they were running on past rallies.
I'm rather bemused by what's going on with this Proton program. Surely there must have been some Proton money involved in it's development, as I can't think that MEM funded it alone, particularly with the likes of Gronholm having tested it. It seems to be reasonably quick in the hands of Ollie Mellors, who I don't think is the fastest driver in this country (hard to tell though, with most of his rallying having been done in the Proton S2000 competing against no other S2000s). There seems to be huge fan interest from Malaysia in particular! Search Proton R5 and you'll see all the views it gets. There's a British Rally Media test media with nearly 110k views. My own 14 second video of it from Goodwood in 2017 got 15k views, nearly 15k more than most of my other videos... 53% of which were Malaysian (next country Portugal at 6%).
So anyway, I'd love to know where this program is going. At this rate I fear nowhere, but seemingly reasonably quickly...
Shame Marty McCormack didnt use the Iriz R5 on Rally Bae Ceredigeon as was on the original entry list...
