Wait… rain got worse after Rally1 cars finished? Or what was the problem?
A bit off topic, but this is the first 2nd place finish for Lappi since Turkey 2019, back in his Citroën days, also, I’m pretty sure it’s the first time in his career he scored three podiums in a row, although it will be a hard one to follow as he’s never been to Kenya.

Lappi has been relatively short time in Hyundai but he is doing well. It may improve or kill the team dynamic when Lappi start showing constantly better performance than Neuville which puts a lot of pressure to Neuville to show that he is The Man.
It will be interesting to see when fast-flowing competitions (Estonia, Finland) are coming.
Would love to see him beat Neuville fair-square in Estonia and Finland..
All understandable w teamorders and most likely Lappi new what he signed for, but at the finish line Neuville should have been a bit more calm :D It seemed like he had a really tough fight for the win..
Statistically it should not be the hardest task as Neuville does not like fast stuff, he seems to be better with relatively slow and rough roads.
But the problem for Neuville (and for Hyundai from driver title perspective) - every time Lappi is ahead of him he basically takes point away from him. And now Lappi is one of the biggest fan of Tänak-Ogier-Rovenperä-Evans, because the only hope for his own win is that he is leading and at least some of mentioned ones is between him and Neuville.
