Q: What happens if a crew scores points at the Power Stage but retires before the Llandudno finish?
A: Crews must complete the entire rally in order to claim any bonus points from the Power Stage. If any of the five quickest drivers in the Power Stage retire on the three remaining tests that lead to the Llandudno finish, their points will pass to the next fastest driver in SS20.
Gutted for Tanak!
This sport can really hurt the shit out of you. Sorry for Tanak he didn't deserve that.
Toyota:
SS16 Sweet Lamb Hafren 2 (19.95 km): @OttTanak has stopped in the stage, to try and save the engine in order to restart tomorrow. The team will assess the car once it returns to service. #WalesRallyGB #WRC
Terrible for Tanak, it's unfortunate the sport is so unfair sometimes. He was running a risky low setup all weekend though, so it must have eventually bitten back.
On the bright side, the championship is still far from over, and Latvala now has the greatest chance of victory he's had all year. Especially for Tanak, he should push for the win.
(Also, it's horribly unfair to Toyota to belittle them for being a village team when they're leading the manufacturer's championship).
but they are a village team...third time this season Tänak has to retire with the same problem and also the engine overheating in Mexico which they also couldnt solve with a year time!!!!
man i so pissed at the moment sorry
