A "pause" on the program rather: awaiting the arrival of electric before returning?
Solberg has the new Polo R5 to play with next year.
His son is going to play with it...on professional level, i don`t think he will go on his own. Probably one of VW Motorsports advertisers on those events they take part of.
Talks about them concentrating on other motorsports. Wonder if they'll split and have Petter in the R5 and Johann doing more of a touring car assault?
Unsure if this is actually a good thing, certainly leaves it open for the privateers (which is what many of us wanted to see). Good opportunity for the likes of GCK, GRX or a Hansen set up, assume that they're all still about. But we've basically lost 7 cars from the championship which is a huge blow when it was already under subscribed.
But ES is entering with Nasser. Don't underrate him. Maybe his Qatar backing could help secure another great driver and Skoda surprise us all. Don't know how much manufacturer is involved in this project or it is completely private. Loeb could be back too with i20 since WTCR programm is filled with 4 drivers (as far as I know this is max. per brand). Wonder where will Bakkerud will fall. Man he is a little unlucky last years. He was doing good in Ford and Audi and both suddenly pulled out.
Seems we are nack to ERX, and private teams and tuners.
Pretty sure Bakkerud won't be in RX next year, his recent Vlogs have been doing Red Bull young driver stuff and DTM tests so I think Red Bull are trying to shoehorn him into another series.
