Find that very good news. Is there any chance of a couple more rounds if he needs them to become Champion?
He will do:
4.-6. juni, Rally Sardinia, Italia
24.-26. juni, Ypres Rally, Belgia
27.-29. august, Barum Rally, Tsjekkia
9.-11. september, Rally Principe de Asturias, Spania
23.-25. september, Rally Sanremo, Italia
14.-16. oktober, Rally Skottland, Storbritannia
4.-6. november, Kypros Rally, Kypros,
If he needs to do more, I guess he will add to take gold !
it wouldn't be possible since there are all five last rounds in this list. If he needs more, he has to add earlier events like Acores or Madeira.
Shame that he cant participate in a Portuguese round.
I think with proper testing he could be a potential winner in Açores.
As far as thing go in Madeira, I understand why he isn't going, you need alot of experience in that rally to have a proper result and correct me if im wrong but he never did Madeira.
I think the driver scoring rules are still the same as before, so 7 rounds is enough providing he makes few mistakes and is very consistent.
Personally speaking, I would expect some wins from Mikkelsen this yer, but maybe not the title.
I guess he will put in one or two Portugese rounds, depending on what he prefers among Gravel or Tarmac, if he need to.
With just seven attempts You just don't have any jokers. Ask Kopeckı if seven is enough ;)Quote:

Mikkelsens earlier plans were to do 10-12 IRC rallies. He is now saving budget to do also the SWRC? Hopefully he can commit himself to the SWRC before the Swedisch Rally.
